Getting started

Qigong.

Beginners have to start with Qigong. You learn Shibashi sets and are working to condition the physical body. Also, you learn to use the breath and mind at a basic level.

These are the principal things you practice when conditioning the body.
  • Stretch and strengthening the body in the correct way.
  • Opening the joints.
  • Hanging the muscles from the frame
  • Correct body alignment in Wi ji and moving.
  • Locating the dan tien.
  • Moving the centre of gravity
Regulating the breath and the mind.
  • Abdominal breath
  • Regulating the breath
  • Understanding the nature of the mind.

If that is what you want, then you will be content to exercise. Be aware that it takes time to change and condition the physical body.

Every Wednesday 4 -5pm.

Cost £5.00 if retired and £6.00 if working.
